The Huge Turtle

My family and I went to lake Pocono and got our own cabin. We went fishing and we caught a little turtle. It swallowed the hook and came out its eye. So our neighbor took it out. There was a snapping turtle we named Grandpa Snappers and Jack caught the big turtle. It was about as big as a boat. I also caught some frogs and fish. Some frogs were babies. They were tiny with tails. After that I went to Bushkill Falls. It was biggest waterfall in Pennsylvania. I hope I go back next summer.

Praying Mantis

Remember a few blogs ago when I wrote about praying mantises? Remember how small they were ? Well today we found one of the babies and it was grown up! It was as big as my whole foot. It cleaned itself like a cat. He licked its hand and wiped his face . I was scared to hold it because it was so big, but then I wasn't scared, so I held it very gently. I cant believe he came home to us.

The Tire Swing

About two months ago my dad found an old tire. He brought it home. Then he found a real long tree. So I found a rope and I tied a ball to it and threw it up in the tree. My dad put the tire on the rope. Now we have a cool swing! It is sooooooo fun! When my big brother pushed me, I screamed! Tire swings are the best.

American Girl

A few days ago my mom let me go to the American Girl store. I saw a magazine so I bought it. I looked inside and all that was in it was words. It seemed like it was boring. A couple of days later my mom asked me if I read it and I said no so my mom read some pages to me. It turns out its fantastic so I've been reading it since then. It has polls, stories and posters. It also has games. So if you want a magazine then you should get the A.G. one.

I have been working on a tack board its like painting with thumb tacks. I made a shadow of a mommy and baby deer. My brother made one too. My mom and big brother helped me make it because I'm only 7 years old. I'm not finished with it yet but I love it. I never knew I could do such a thing. I'll post another blog when I'm finished with it.

fish tank

I have a fish tank in my living room. Yesterday my dad saw a bad shrimp so he got fresh water and he put it in a squirter. He squirted in a hole of the rock because the shrimp was in the rock. Then he poked him with a needle and he got it. He also found some crabs in the rock so he gave me one. I learned so much about fish tanks this week.

Dsi

I just got my DSi a few days ago. A Dsi is a Ds but better. It has a camera on the inside and it comes in lots of colors. I wanted to get a white but then I got hot pink. My mom ordered it online and I paid for it with my own money. It cost $180 and I still have $30 left. Dsi's are really amazing toys!

Let Go of MY Lego!

Guess what? Today I went to the Lego store. I bought some Lego that I made it myself. It was the best day ever! I made a boy and two girls. My brothers got Lego too. Jack got a magician. But Charlie got a clown. I want to go back soon!

The Zoo

Today I went to the zoo. I saw a peacock. I thought that they were pretty. Then we went in to a prairie dogs home. It had tunnels so I went inside. It felt like I was in the prairie home. Then we went into the big bird house. They gave us sticks with bird food on them. I got a bird onto my stick all by myself. I love the zoo!

The Caterpillars

I have five Painted Lady caterpillars. They are still in their chrysalis. Today is the 9th day they have been wrapped up. On the 10th day they will hatch. When caterpillars come out of their chrysalis they are butterflies. Caterpillars are my favorite insect!

Hatched

THE EGGS JUST HATCHED! But just one egg hatched. I just can't believe that they hatched! I thought that there were 75. They were green but they turned brown. We let them go because we did not have any bugs to feed them. We still have two eggs left!

Goldy

I have a goldfish and her name is Goldy. She is orange and she lives in a fish tank. It is in my room. Her birthday is fourth of July. The fourth of July is really cool because of fireworks. I am going to give her a new fish tank for her birthday. I love Goldy so so much!

The Eggs

We have three Praying Mantis eggs. We are waiting for them to hatch. When they are all grown up, they are green. They look like a grasshopper but with sharp claws. Their hands look like they are praying. They eat other bugs. Each egg has 100-400 babies! I will post pictures when they hatch...

The Lacrosse Girl

Every Sunday I go to lacrosse. I saw older girls playing in the park. That made me want to play. So my mom signed me up.

These are the things you need: mouth guard, a lacrosse stick, eye guard, and proper kind of shoes. Once you have the right gear you are ready to play. So if you want to play lacrosse…you need to read this blog.
